2nd One UI 2.0 Beta Update Arrives for Galaxy S9 and S9+

Samsung released the first One UI 2.0 beta update for its 2018 flagships the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus two weeks ago. The company has now released the 2nd One UI 2.0 beta update for the devices. This new update claims to fix a lot of issues that were present in the previous build.

There were no major issues with the first One UI 2.0 beta update on the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus. However, several users came across some issues which are to be expected from a beta build. The 2nd One UI 2.0 Beta update for the Galaxy S9 duo build number ends with ZSL2. And it comes in with a download size of around 300MB. Additionally, the new update also carries the December security patch.

As we mentioned above, the update brings along a bunch of fixes for the bugs that are present on the ZSKD/ZSK9 build. We’ve provided the update changelog screenshot below.

The changelog shows the issues that are now fixed with the latest One UI 2.0 beta update. If you’re facing any issues listed above, install the latest update on your device. The update notification should automatically arrive on your device. Although, you can check for it manually by going to Settings – Software update – Download and install.

Wait for the device to scan for an update. If the update is available for your device, simply tap on Download and then tap on Install. Do not fret if the update does not show up right away on your device. We’d suggest checking for the update after every couple of hours. Before installing the update, make sure that your device has sufficient battery.

What’s new in One UI 2.0

Samsung’s One UI 2.0 update does not bring any major UI changes. Instead, it brings a bunch of useful features and UI refinements that elevate the user experience. Additionally, the update is based on Android 10. Thus, you would get all the cool features from Android 10 such as enhanced privacy settings and more.

The official One UI 2.0 stable update has already been released for the Galaxy S10 sets. Samsung is set to release the stable One UI 2.0 update for the Galaxy S9 duo early next year. This means Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus users would have to wait a couple more months for the stable update to arrive on their devices.

Meanwhile, the company would release a few more One UI 2.0 beta updates with bug fixes over the coming weeks. Nonetheless, Galaxy S9 users on the One UI beta program should install the 2nd One UI 2.0 beta update to have a smoother user experience.
